Preise für Eleven v4: API-Kosten, Tarife und Audiotests

Eleven v4 pricing is $0.08 per 1,000 characters through ElevenLabs’ API. Eleven v4 Turbo is $0.04 per 1,000 characters. The Creative app has monthly subscriptions and a credit allowance, so the amount you pay depends on where you generate speech and how often you redo a line.

For a voiceover, the useful question is how much it costs to get an approved take. We generated five matched scripts with both models on GlobalGPT, kept all ten outputs, and checked six of them with automated transcription. You can play the samples below before paying for a longer project.

How much does Eleven v4 cost?

Die official ElevenAPI price list puts standard v4 at twice Turbo’s per-character rate. A 10,000-character script costs $0.80 with v4 or $0.40 with Turbo at those list prices, excluding tax. These are character costs; speaking speed changes the length of the audio, rather than the number of input characters.

ElevenLabs official API pricing for Eleven v4 and v4 Turbo
ElevenLabs API pricing, captured October 13, 2026: v4 costs $0.08 and Turbo $0.04 per 1,000 characters, excluding tax.

For the same 100,000-character input, Turbo saves $4 at these official rates. If you generate the entire script three times, the character-based totals become $24 for v4 and $12 for Turbo. That example assumes each attempt is charged; an eligible app regeneration benefit is a separate rule.

ElevenCreative monthly plans, credit allowances and first-month promotional prices
ElevenCreative monthly pricing, captured October 13, 2026. Starter and Creator first-month discounts are separate from renewal prices.

On October 13, the page advertised Starter at $1 for the first month, with “Until Oct 18,” and Creator at $11 for the first month. The regular monthly prices shown alongside those offers were $6 and $22. A first-month offer is a short-term entry price, so use the regular rate when budgeting recurring work.

Annual billing is advertised as paying for ten months. Calculated monthly equivalents at the regular prices are $5 for Starter, $18.33 for Creator, $82.50 for Pro, $249.17 for Scale and $825 for Business. Those are annual-cost equivalents, rather than a month-to-month payment option.

For students comparing discounts across providers, our AI audio model student discounts guide separates provider offers from platform offers. A GlobalGPT discount does not change ElevenLabs’ official API rate.

Credits, retries and launch promotions

’ElevenLabs“ model and credit documentation describes one credit per character for v4 in UI generations, excluding credit multipliers. In a Creative plan, a 10,000-character pass therefore uses 10,000 base credits. Leave room for the lines you will regenerate rather than budgeting only the final script.

The official pages still carried a banner saying “3x credits included on Creator+ until October 12” when checked on October 13. That date had already passed. The displayed plan allowances above are a dated record of the page, and the expired banner does not establish an active free-generation offer. Verify the allowance and promotion attached to your checkout.

Overage eligibility also varies. The official billing documentation refers to Enterprise and legacy Creator, Pro, Scale and Business plans for usage-based billing, with a configurable spending threshold. Do not assume every new plan has the same overage option or price.

A repeat submission is not automatically a free regeneration. Our T5 test used a new API task with the same script as T1. It was designed to produce another sample, rather than to test an official Creative retry entitlement.

Our Eleven v4 and Turbo audio tests

We ran ten GLBGPT API tasks: five scripts with Eleven v4 and the same five with Eleven v4 Turbo. Both routes used the stock Mark voice, with no custom voice upload. We kept the same text for each matched pair and did not submit a failed-task replacement.

Die official model documentation describes v4’s expressive speech, audio tags and 90+ languages, with a 10,000-character limit. Our short samples test a narrow slice of that behavior. They do not establish long-form reliability, clone similarity or support for every language.

Die v4 voice-settings help page lists Stability and Similarity as the two voice settings. Style and Speed sliders are unavailable, and SSML is unsupported. Do not plan an editing workflow around a control that the model does not expose.

Six outputs also checked with Scribe v2 transcription.

Completion time is the returned task’s finish timestamp minus its creation timestamp. It includes gateway processing and can include waiting. Turbo was slower on the audio-tag case, so this small set does not support a universal speed ranking. It also cannot verify the official claim of roughly 100 ms median Turbo inference latency.

T1 · Neutral narration

The neutral narration produced 12.32 seconds of audio with v4 and 12.40 seconds with Turbo. Task completion was 25 and 10 seconds respectively. These outputs give you a baseline for comparing the same voice on ordinary narration.

The numeric script produced 21.60 and 21.68 seconds of audio. Both automated transcripts retained the date, invoice amount, discount, serial number and place names. An ASR system can normalize imperfect speech, so recovering “Worcestershire” is not a phonetic pronunciation score.

The tagged script produced 9.36 and 9.84 seconds of audio. Both transcripts recovered the four spoken sentences without turning the bracketed directions into transcript words. That supports text delivery in this case; it does not measure how well each emotion was performed.

The mixed English–Mandarin script produced 14.96 and 14.48 seconds of audio. Both transcripts recovered the language switch and rendered the Chinese date as 2026年10月13日. The transcription changed number formatting and punctuation, so we compared content rather than punctuation alone.

T4 · Eleven v4 · 14.96 seconds. Speech in an audiogram video container; audio transcoded to AAC for playback.

Welcome to our voice test. 今天是2026年10月13日,请清楚地读出这句话,并保持自然的停顿。The next sentence returns to English. We will compare the spoken words with the original text。

T5 · Repeat of neutral narration

T5 · Repeat of neutral narrationSelect the text and press Ctrl/Cmd+C if copying is unavailable.

The repeated neutral script again produced 12.32 and 12.40 seconds of audio. The original file hashes and decoded-audio hashes differed from T1 for both models. This establishes that the returned samples differ; two short takes do not establish a stability score.

T5 · Eleven v4 · 12.32 seconds. Speech in an audiogram video container; audio transcoded to AAC for playback.
T5 · Eleven v4 Turbo · 12.40 seconds. Speech in an audiogram video container; audio transcoded to AAC for playback.

The full test input was 924 characters per model, including the repeated script. GlobalGPT’s displayed rates were 330 credits per 1,000 characters for v4 and 165 for Turbo. That gives an estimated 304.92 and 152.46 platform credits before per-task rounding. These are displayed-rate calculations, not a verified account debit total.

For comparison, applying ElevenLabs’ official list rates to the same inputs gives approximately $0.0739 for v4 and $0.0370 for Turbo, before tax. GlobalGPT’s displayed platform equivalents were $0.33 and $0.165 per 1,000 characters. The platform has separate billing; its rate is not the official API rate.

If speech is one part of a larger creative project, generating, voicing and editing AI video in one place can simplify the handoff between assets. That workflow convenience is a separate buying consideration from the cheapest speech unit price.

What X and Reddit users say

X: performance control is the main attraction

Artificial Analysis reported on September 28 that Eleven v4 ranked first on its Provider Voice TTS Arena and Pronunciation Robustness benchmark, and second on Controlled Voice. This is an attributed report of that dated leaderboard, rather than a ranking derived from our ten tasks.

#1 · Pronunciation Robustness

#2 · Controlled Voice

Justine Moore’s September 28 X post called the results “Truly blown away” and highlighted directing both character performance and the surrounding soundscape. Her visible profile identifies her as an ElevenLabs investor, so treat this as an investor’s enthusiastic reaction.

taziku CEO Yoshihiro Tanaka wrote on September 29: “AI音声は「自然に読む」から、「演じる」方向へ。” Our translation: “AI voices are moving from natural reading toward performing.” It captures the creative appeal of v4, rather than a measured quality comparison.

Reddit: strong creative results, with practical caveats

In a September 29 Poe spoken-word showcase, u/alvisanovari reported keeping the voice and mood through all 22 lines in one take. They also said the audio tags were not read aloud. Their later “about $6” production total included animation, upscaling, music and other tools; it is not a price for Eleven v4 narration alone.

In der Reddit discussion of the launch promotion, u/NamShep praised context-sensitive audiobook delivery but said stronger tags could overdo the performance and some voices could change or lose accents. That is one user’s comparison, with a useful implication: audition the exact voice you plan to use.

u/juninhoofl’s October 4 help thread described a voice sounding different after the release and confusion over whether an iOS generation used promotional credits. They reported spending about 12,000 credits while experimenting. The thread documents their account of the problem; we have not audited the account or confirmed the cause.

These posts describe different experiences. The buying lesson is to separate three checks: does the voice still fit your project, do the tags improve the performance, and which balance is charged at the entry point you are using?

Welche Route solltest du wählen?

Official Creative

Choose it for the official creation tools, Studio workflow and plan-specific cloning features.

Offizielle API

Choose it for software integration and the lower direct API list rates. Budget charged retries and review your plan allowance.

GlobalGPT

Choose it to test speech in an existing AI workspace. Both Eleven v4 und Eleven v4 Turbo routes were verified and used for our samples.

For production volume, begin with Turbo’s lower official unit cost, then audition the same excerpt with standard v4. Paying twice the rate can make sense when the delivery reduces editing or repeated takes, but our small test set does not prove that saving for your project.

If an existing voice is central to an audiobook or brand, compare it with your earlier recordings before switching models. Our Eleven Multilingual v2 – Testbericht covers that older model as a separate reference; an older model mention here is a deliberate comparison, not a claim that it is the newest release.

For occasional use, judge the subscription against finished work. The which AI is worth paying for analysis uses practical tasks to frame that decision. A small monthly fee still becomes wasteful if you never approve or publish the output.

If you already draft scripts and produce visuals in the same workspace, our Workflow für All-in-One-KI-Modelle describes how to organize those stages. Keep the speech rate visible while weighing the time saved by the broader workflow.

Eleven v4 pricing FAQ

How much does Eleven v4 cost per 1,000 characters?

ElevenLabs’ official API list price is $0.08 per 1,000 characters for Eleven v4 and $0.04 for v4 Turbo, excluding tax. Creative subscriptions use a separate credit allowance.

Is Eleven v4 free?

ElevenCreative has a Free plan with 10,000 displayed monthly credits. The launch promotion referred to October 12; it should not be treated as an active unlimited free offer on October 13.

Is v4 Turbo cheaper than standard v4?

Yes, at the official API list rates: Turbo is $0.04 per 1,000 characters, versus $0.08 for standard v4. That is half the input cost for the same number of charged characters.

What is the regular ElevenCreative Starter price?

The regular monthly Starter price is $6. On October 13, the page advertised $1 for the first month with “Until Oct 18.” That introductory offer is separate from the regular monthly rate.

Do Creative credits equal the API character allowance?

No. The Creative page lists a shared creative-credit pool, while the API page lists model-specific character equivalents for dollar-denominated usage. Do not add those figures as independent allowances.

Are all repeated generations free?

No automatic free retry was established by our test. Repeating the same text through the GLBGPT API created a new task. Any eligible official app regeneration benefit needs its own terms.

Can I use Eleven v4 on GlobalGPT?

Yes. We verified and used GlobalGPT’s Eleven v4 and Eleven v4 Turbo audio-generator routes for all ten samples. GlobalGPT uses its own platform credits and displayed model rates.

Does the test prove Turbo has 100 ms latency?

No. Our timing measures asynchronous GLBGPT task completion, with medians of 24 seconds for v4 and 20 seconds for Turbo. It does not measure streaming latency or time to first audio.

Can I use generated audio commercially?

ElevenLabs lists a commercial license on paid Creative plans. The Free tier is for non-commercial use with attribution. Voice consent, plan terms and any platform-specific rights still matter.

Commercial rights should be checked against the official plan terms shown on the pricing page and the generation route you use. A platform test is not evidence of a universal license for every voice or account.
